We are Junior League of Albany, NY

Above all else, our goal is to promote and perpetuate social change in the Capital Region communities that will benefit most from it. By empowering women and providing valuable leadership training, we are giving local women the tools to get involved, put their talents to work, and positively impact the communities of Capital Region.

Strength in Numbers

We are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), an international network of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Currently, 115,000 women in over 298 communities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, and Kenya are working to make a difference.

Established in 1917, the Junior League of Albany, NY plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of Capital Region.

Our Local Impact

Right now, our primary focus of women and children requires immediate action, and our multi-faceted approach is making an impact. In 2024-2026 we plan to select a new community partner to collaborate on assisting women and children in our area by working with this new partner to create a project or program to benefit those in out community. In addition, we will continue to work with our long-term partners to do community service and give back to our community.
