The Junior League of Albany is very proud of that historic reputation, but as society changes, we adapt and evolve. We strive to put our venerable values to work in modern ways; demonstrating our pride and perpetuating our legacy by serving as a powerful voice for action, justice and change throughout our community We are working in partnership with community stakeholders in ways that sustain and power change while cultivating civic leadership excellence. Albany women will lead this important initiative.

Become a Driving Force of Change Within Your Community
We accept new members throughout the spring and summer with the new class starting in September.The Junior League of Albany holds recruiting events throughout the year to introduce prospective members to other League members and the work the JLA does in the local community. When new members apply, they will be provided with the tools and information they’ll need to play a crucial role in the Junior League of Albany’s current community focus of women and children,
Junior League of Albany Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be 21 by July 1st to be eligible for membership.
- Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Albany County, New York

Transferring Your Membership to the Junior League of Albany
Already a member of a Junior League? The Junior League of Albany welcomes any New Member, Active or Sustaining member in good standing to transfer to the Junior League of Albany. A transferring member will be responsible for any applicable prorated dues. Membership commitments are determined by the Junior League of Albany based on the date of transfer. Questions?
